Fashion Forward

>>It is a well known fact that Columbia tends to be behind
when it comes to catching on to fashion forward trends.
Many people are afraid to take risks with style, and stick to a
“wash-rinse-repeat” wardrobe that is safe and predictable.
It’s time to embrace originality, not avoid it.

This summer is
the perfect season to step outside of your comfort zone and
experiment with an eclectic color palette, bold retro prints,
and modern day vintage influences.
I created this spread because I wanted to show fashion in a
way that is fresh and innovative, and inspiring to others as I
was during the creation of this spread. I gathered the
wardrobe for all six photo shoots from strictly locally owned
and operated stores in Columbia, which goes to show that
you don’t have to go far to find amazing clothing. Columbia
is home to passionate designers, trendy boutiques, quirky
shops, and a variety of places to discover your own personal
style. All it takes is an open mind and a little creativity.

Enjoy!

Experiment with mixing two different genres of style. Glamour with a hard rock twist or hipster meets squeaky-clean preppy.

In the brutal heat this summer, cool off by the pool in BOLD graphic prints. Don’t forget hot accessories
like large dramatic hats, gladiator sandals with metal details, modern cover ups, and some SPF 30.
